James R. Doty

James R. Doty was a clinical professor of neurosurgery at Stanford University and founder of Stanford's Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education. He was an entrepreneur who developed tools for minimally invasive spine surgeries and conducted research into the neuroscience of compassion.
